Accessibility features
Magisterium AI includes standard web-accessibility features. If something isn't working well for you, please let us know — we want to do better.
Themes
- Light and Dark themes — switch from your name in the sidebar → Theme, or change your OS theme and the app will follow automatically.
- Content is designed to be readable in both.

The Preferences page also collects the other accessibility-related controls — Theme, Language, Autosuggest, and Text-to-speech voice — in one place:

Screen readers
- Pages and controls use ARIA labels so screen readers can announce them correctly.
- Headings are structured so you can navigate with heading shortcuts.
- Interactive elements (buttons, menus, toggles) announce their purpose.
Keyboard shortcuts
A small set of global shortcuts:
- Ctrl+K (or ⌘K on Mac) — sidebar search.
- Ctrl+Shift+O — new chat.
- Ctrl+B — toggle sidebar.
- Ctrl+D — start / stop dictation.
Listen to answers
Every answer can be read aloud — see How do I have an answer read aloud?.
Dictation instead of typing
The dictation button converts speech to text so you don't have to type. See Dictating your prompt.
What's still missing
- A dedicated high-contrast theme.
- A reduced-motion toggle independent of OS preferences.
- User-customizable keyboard shortcuts.
