How do I have an answer read aloud?

Every Magisterium AI answer can be read aloud on Pro, Organization, and Large Organization plans, so you can listen while you walk, commute, or pray.

Listen / TTS requires a paid plan. On Free, the speaker icon directs you to the Plan page when you click it.

Listen to an answer

  1. Send a prompt and wait for the response to finish.
  2. Under the answer, click the speaker icon in the action row.
  3. Playback begins. Click the icon again to stop.

Choose your voice

Magisterium AI offers two text-to-speech voices: Ambrose and Teresa.

  1. Open your account menu in the sidebar and choose Settings.
  2. On the Preferences tab, find Text-to-speech voice.
  3. Select either Ambrose or Teresa. Your choice is saved automatically.

Listen vs Voice Mode

This feature reads an existing written answer aloud. If you'd rather have a live spoken conversation — speak your question, hear the AI answer out loud, and interrupt to follow up — use Voice Mode instead. See Using Voice Mode.

Troubleshooting

  • No sound. Check your system volume and that the browser tab isn't muted.
  • Icon is missing on one answer. The Listen control isn't shown on messages created in Voice Mode — those were already spoken.
