Eparchy of Adilabad (Syro-Malabar)

Mar Joseph Thachaparambath, C.M.I., was born on 24 February 1969 in Nalumukku, India. In 1985, after completing his studies, he entered the Congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate. After completing his studies in philosophy and theology, at the Darsana Institute of Philosophy and the Dharmaram College of Bangalore respectively, he was ordained a priest on 4 January 1997. He has held the following offices: priestly ministry in two parishes of the eparchy of Chanda, administrative head of the Mar Thoma Province (2002-2005, 2008-2011 and 2014-2017), at the same time working in various educational institutions in the same Province of his religious institute, and bursar of the eparchy of Adilabad (2005-2008 and 2017-2023). Since 2023 he has served as superior of the Mar Thoma Province. S.E.R.
