Stephen Rotluanga, C.S.C., was born in Aizawl on June 8, 1952. After completing his primary education in Aizawl, he entered the Congregation of Holy Cross and made his perpetual profession on May 30, 1975. He studied philosophy and theology at Jnana Deepa Vidyapeeth in Pune (1974–1981). He was ordained a priest on December 13, 1981, in Aizawl. He served as Assistant Parish Priest of Champhai (1982–1985), Parish Priest of Champhai, and animator of the Zoram Catholic Youth. During this period, he studied Mass Media Communications in Bombay (1985–1994); he also studied Youth, Liturgy, and Pastoral Counselling in Bangalore, Social Communications in Calcutta, and Visual/Fine Arts in Toronto (Canada) and Florence (1994–1999). Since 2000, he has served as Director of Postulants in Agartala, a Fine Arts teacher at Holy Cross School, and a Councilor for his Congregation’s North-East India Region.
