Prelate of Ayaviri
Rev. Friar Benigno Condori, O.F.M., was born on March 22, 1971, in the district of Crucero, Carabaya Province (Puno). He entered the Order of Friars Minor (Franciscans) in 1989 and made his solemn religious profession in 1997. He was ordained a priest on September 9, 2000. He pursued his ecclesiastical studies in Philosophy at the Pontifical and Civil Faculty of Theology in Lima and in Theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, obtaining a Licentiate in Religious Sciences in 1999. Since then, he has taken specialized courses on the promotion, pastoral care, and accompaniment of religious vocations—in Rome, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico—as well as on providing spiritual assistance to the Secular Franciscan Order. He has held the following positions: vocation promoter for the Franciscan Province of the "Twelve Apostles" of Peru (2000–2002); national master and assistant for the Secular Franciscan Order and the Franciscan Youth (2003–2005); Guardian of the Friary of Saint Anthony of Padua and parish priest of *Cristo Pobre de La Recoleta* in Cusco (2006–2014); parish priest of the Holy Spirit (*Espíritu Santo*) and bursar of the Friary of Saint Anthony of Padua in Tacna (2015–2017); secretary of the Elective Chapter of the Province of the Twelve Apostles (2018); provincial definitor and secretary for Evangelization and Mission (2019–2020); and, until now, parish priest of Saint Anthony of Padua in Puno and Secretary of the Elective Chapter of the Province of the Twelve Apostles.
