Bishop of Azogues
Oswaldo Patricio Vintimilla Cabrera was born in Cuenca, Azuay Province, on August 2, 1966. He completed his primary education at the "Arzobispo Serrano" private school and his secondary education at the Miguel Cordero Crespo University College. He pursued studies in Philosophy and Theology at the San León Magno Archdiocesan Major Seminary in Cuenca. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Cuenca on November 17, 1990. Throughout his priestly ministry, the Reverend Father Oswaldo Patricio Vintimilla Cabrera has held the following positions: Parish Priest of San Juan Bautista in Nabón, Cochapata, Las Nieves, and the indigenous area of Zhiña (1991–2001); Chaplain for the schools affiliated with the Catholic University of Cuenca (1990–present); and Religious Assistant to the contemplative monasteries of the Franciscan Conceptionist Nuns and the Carmelite Nuns in Cuenca (1991–present).
