Jacques Raymond Germain Benoit-Gonnin is Bishop of Beauvais, France, and has served at Beauvais since 2010. He was born on 24 June 1952, was ordained a priest on 29 June 1985, was appointed bishop on 18 March 2010, and was consecrated bishop on 02 May 2010. He is a member of the Commission for the Dialogue, Common Good and Social Friendship division. He is the son of André Benoit-Gonnin, an employee at the Divonne-les-Bains golf course, and Cécile Poncet. In ministry, he served as chaplain at Lycée Fénelon-Sainte-Marie in Paris; vicar at the parish of the Sainte-Trinité, while on study assignment and responsible for accompanying seminarians who were members of the Emmanuel Community (1989 - 1991); director at Maison Saint-Augustin and responsible for clerics and seminarians who were members of the Emmanuel Community (1995 - 2002); and parish priest of the Sainte-Trinité parish and chaplain of Sainte-Rita (2002 - 2010). He was a member of the Council for Catholic Education (2017 - 2023) and a member of the Family and Society Council (2023 - 2024). His episcopal motto is: In faith in the Son of God.
