Bishop Valentin Cabbigat Dimoc

Valentin Cabbigat Dimoc was born on February 14, 1969, in Lagawe, Ifugao. After primary school (1976–1982), he attended Don Bosco High School (1982–1986) and the pre-college program at St. Francis Xavier Seminary in Baguio City (1986–1987). In 1987, he entered San Pablo Major Seminary in Baguio City, where he began his studies in philosophy, later continuing with theology at the Immaculate Conception School of Theology in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Prior to his priestly ordination, he also studied Social Development at the Asian Social Institute in Manila. He was ordained a priest on May 19, 1998, for the Apostolic Vicariate of Bontoc-Lagawe. Following his ordination, he held the following positions and pursued further studies: 1998–2000: Rector of the Holy Rosary Mission, Kayan, Tadian, Mountain Province; from 2000: Director of the Vicariate’s Center for Social Action and Development; 2006: Master of Arts in Development Management at the Asian Institute of Management, Makati City; 2004–2007: Rector of the Holy Family Mission, Hapao, Hugduan, Ifugao; 2007–2010: Rector of the Saint Mary Magdalene Mission, Lagawe, Ifugao; from 2007: Director of the Kataguan Centre, Lagawe, Ifugao; 2010–2012: Rector of the Good Shepherd Mission, Hapid, Lamut, Ifugao; from 2013: Director of the Vicariate’s Center for Social Action and Development.
