Bishop of Bossangoa
Nestor-Désiré Nongo-Aziagbia, S.M.A., was born on March 6, 1970, in M’Baïki (Central African Republic). He made his first profession in 1994. He studied philosophy at the Saint Marc National Major Seminary in Bangui (Central African Republic) and theology at the SS. Peter and Paul Major Seminary in Ibadan, Nigeria. Subsequently, he obtained a Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology from the University of Strasbourg, France, and is currently completing his doctorate at the same university. He was ordained a priest on August 23, 1998. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1998–2004: Parochial Vicar and Parish Priest, Vocations Director, and member of the Council for Economic Affairs and the College of Consultors in the Vicariate of Kontagora (Nigeria); since 2004: Superior of the Haguenau community (Strasbourg) and of the corresponding district of the Society of African Missions (S.M.A.) fathers. He also serves as Moderator Parish Priest of the "Terre des missions" parish community—comprising Weitbruch, Gries, Kurtzenhouse, Niederschaeffolsheim, and Harthouse—and as Chaplain to the S.M.A. fathers' college in Haguenau.
