Bishop Dieudonné Uringi Uuci, Bishop of Bunia, was born on October 28, 1957, in Bunia, in the Diocese of Bunia. He studied in his own country and was ordained a priest for Bunia on September 25, 1984. He served as parochial vicar, bursar and professor; parish priest and spiritual animator of the clergy of Bunia; and vicar general. On April 1, 2005, he was appointed Bishop of Bunia. He received episcopal ordination on June 24, 2005, with Laurent Monsengwo Pasinya as principal consecrator and Giovanni d'Aniello and Joseph Banga Bane as co-consecrators.
