Bishop Prudencio Padilla Andaya Jr.

Bishop Prudencio Padilla Andaya, C.I.C.M., Bishop of Cabanatuan, was born on January 2, 1959, in Lubuagan, Kalinga, in the Vicariate Apostolic of Tabuk. He studied in his own country and was ordained a priest on December 8, 1986, as a member of the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He served as a missionary in Zambia, provincial superior, socius of the novitiate, master of novices and provincial councillor. On April 16, 2003, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Fuerteventura and Vicar Apostolic of Tabuk. He received episcopal ordination on July 16, 2003, at Tabuk, with Antonio Franco as principal consecrator and Diosdado Aenlle Talamayan and Carlito Joaquin Cenzon as co-consecrators. On February 25, 2017, he was appointed Apostolic Administrator of Ilagan, ceasing to hold that office on November 14, 2018. On December 8, 2024, he was appointed Bishop of Cabanatuan, and he was installed on February 3, 2025.
