Bishop of Coria-Cáceres
Msgr. Jesús Pulido Arriero was born in Toledo on 21 February 1965. He carried out his philosophical and theological studies at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. In 1990 he was awarded a licentiate in sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute and a doctorate in spiritual theology at the Pontifical Theological Faculty – Pontifical Institute of Spirituality “Teresianum”. He has held the following offices: director of the Sigueme publishing hosue of Salamanca (1990-1999), deputy director of the Saint James the Apostle College of Bavaria (1999), vice rector of the Spanish College in Rome (2000-2002), secretary general (2002-2014) and vice director (2008-2014) of the Fraternity of Diocesan Worker Priests of the Heart of Jesus, official of the Section for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State (2013-2015), vice rector of the Venezuelan College of Rome (2014-2015), vice rector of the San Carlos y San Ambrosio Seminary of Havana in Cuba (2015-2016), director of the BAC publishing house since 2016, and technical secretary of the Episcopal Commission for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Spanish Episcopal Conference.
