Bishop Jorge Luis Wagner

Jorge Luis Wagner was born in Guaminí, in the Archdiocese of Bahía Blanca, on January 19, 1967. He pursued his philosophy studies at the Seminary of the Diocese of Azul and his theological studies at the Seminary of the Archdiocese of Mercedes-Luján. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Bahía Blanca on September 2, 1993. He has held the following positions: parochial vicar; parish priest of various communities; Episcopal Delegate for Youth Ministry; Episcopal Delegate for Catechesis; professor at the Salesian Higher Institute in Bahía Blanca; coordinator of the Archdiocesan Board for Catechesis; and member of the Presbyteral Council, the College of Consultors, and the role of Vicar General. On September 24, 2019, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Gergi and Auxiliary Bishop of Bahía Blanca, receiving episcopal ordination on November 16 of that year. He is currently a member of the Episcopal Commission for Catechesis, Animation, and Biblical Pastoral Care within the Argentine Episcopal Conference. Msgr.
