Bishop of Cornélio Procópio
Marcos José dos Santos was born on March 2, 1974, in Lupionópolis, in the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Londrina, in the State of Paraná. He pursued his studies in philosophy at the *Instituto Filosófico de Apucarana* (Paraná) and in theology at the *Instituto Paulo VI* in Londrina (PR). He obtained a diploma in the formation of candidates for the priesthood and consecrated life, as well as a licentiate in spirituality, from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He was ordained a priest on February 12, 2000, and incardinated into the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Londrina, where he held the following positions: Rector of the São José Seminary; Spiritual Director of the Paulo VI Theology Seminary; Administrator of the São João Paulo II Parish; Archdiocesan Pastoral Coordinator; and member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors. Since 2017, he has served as Parish Priest of Nossa Senhora das Graças in Centenário do Sul (PR).
