Bishop Antonio Napolioni

Antonio Napolioni was born in Camerino (in the province of Macerata and the Archdiocese of Camerino-San Severino Marche) on December 11, 1957. After completing his classical high school studies and two years of law school at the State University of Camerino, he entered the Regional Seminary of Fano, where he completed his ecclesiastical studies. He continued his academic training in Rome at the Pontifical Salesian University, obtaining a Doctorate in Theology with a specialization in Youth Ministry and Catechetics. He was ordained a priest on June 25, 1983, for the Archdiocese of Camerino-San Severino Marche. He served as Director of the Diocesan Catechetical Office from 1983 to 1993; Regional Ecclesiastical Assistant for AGESCI from 1986 to 1992; National Assistant for AGESCI from 1992 to 1998; Episcopal Vicar for Pastoral Care from 1991 to the present; Vice-Rector of the "Pius XI" Pontifical Regional Seminary of the Marche region in Ancona from 1993 to 1998; Rector of the same Regional Seminary from 1998 to 2010; and Director of the Regional Vocations Center for the Marche region from 2006 to 2010. Since 1993, he has been a lecturer in Pastoral Theology and Catechetics at the Marche Institute in Ancona; he also taught Pastoral Theology and Catechetics at the Pontifical Institute of Pastoral Theology of the Pontifical Lateran University from 1993 to 2001. Since 2010, he has served as Parish Priest of the San Severino Vescovo parish in San Severino Marche. He has been a Chaplain of His Holiness since January 5, 2005.
