The Holy Father has united the Dioceses of Cuneo and Fossano and has appointed H.E. Msgr. Piero Delbosco—previously the Bishop of the two dioceses united *in persona Episcopi*—as Bishop of the new Diocese of Cuneo-Fossano. Msgr. Delbosco was born on August 15, 1955, in Poirino, in the province and Archdiocese of Turin. He obtained a Baccalaureate in Theology from the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy (Turin Section) and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Turin on November 15, 1980. He has held the following positions: Parochial Vicar of San Lorenzo in Collegno (Turin) and of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish in Turin; Parish Priest in Beinasco and Alpignano; Territorial Episcopal Vicar for the Western District of Turin; Pro-Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia of the Archdiocese of Turin; Parish Priest in Poirino; Delegate for the Permanent Diaconate and for Diaconate Preparation; Member of the Presbyteral Council; and Member of the National Presbyteral Council. On October 9, 2015, he was appointed Bishop of the Dioceses of Cuneo and Fossano, receiving episcopal consecration on November 29 of that year. Within the Italian Episcopal Conference, he is a member of the Commission for the Clergy and Consecrated Life.
