Bishop Dèr Raphaël Kusiélé Dabiré

Der Raphaël Dabiré Kusiélé was born on April 27, 1948, in Dissin, in the Diocese of Diébougou. After completing his primary education in Dissin and secondary studies at the Minor Seminary of Bobo-Dioulasso, he pursued philosophy courses at the Major Seminary of Ouagadougou and theology courses at the Major Seminary of Bobo-Dioulasso, obtaining a Baccalaureate in Theology. He was ordained a priest on July 12, 1975, and incardinated into the Diocese of Diébougou. Subsequently, he obtained a Licentiate in Sociology from the Pontifical Gregorian University—residing at the Pontifical College of St. Paul the Apostle—and a Master's degree (*maîtrise*) in Public Administration from the University of Quebec (Canada). Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1975–1980: Parochial Vicar; 1980–1986: Coordinator of diocesan development projects; 1986–1989: Licentiate studies in Sociology at the Pontifical Gregorian University; 1989–1993: Coordinator of diocesan development projects; 1993–2000: Secretary General of the John Paul II Foundation for the Sahel; 2001–2003: Master's degree in Public Administration at the University of Quebec, Canada. Since 2003, he has served as Episcopal Vicar in charge of studying diocesan socio-pastoral projects.
