Bishop Livio Corazza

The Pope has appointed Msgr. Livio Corazza—a priest of the Diocese of Concordia-Pordenone and until now the parish priest of the Cathedral of Santo Stefano in Concordia Sagittaria, as well as the parishes of San Pio X in Teson and San Giuseppe Operaio in Sindacale—as Bishop of the Diocese of Forlì-Bertinoro. Msgr. Corazza was born in Pordenone on November 26, 1953. After completing his classical studies at the episcopal seminary, he pursued courses in philosophy and theology at the seminary's theological institute. Subsequently, he attended courses at the then-Regional Institute of Pastoral Care and Pastoral Liturgy at Santa Giustina in Padua. He was ordained a priest on June 21, 1981. Msgr. Corazza has held the following positions: parochial vicar of the Cathedral of San Giorgio in Porcia (1981–1985); parochial vicar of San Nicolò in Fiume Veneto (1985–2007); Director of the Diocesan Caritas (1992–2007); person in charge of relations with European Caritas organizations for Caritas Italiana (2007–2012); and parish priest of the Cathedral of Santo Stefano Protomartire in Concordia Sagittaria, San Pio X in Teson, and San Giuseppe Operaio in Sindacale (2012–present). Early in his ministry, he served as provincial chaplain for AGESCI; he was later appointed Director of the Diocesan Office for Social Pastoral Care and was responsible for pastoral care in the world of work (1990–2000), serving as the diocesan delegate for social and labor pastoral care from 2003 to 2007. Furthermore, he served as ecclesiastical assistant to the Council of Lay Associations (1996–2001) and as Secretary General of the Episcopal Curia (1999–2001). Finally, from 2000 to 2007, he was Director of the Diocesan Office for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People. He is an honorary canon *durante munere* of the Chapter of the Cathedral of Concordia.
