H.E. Msgr. Santo Marcianò was born on April 10, 1960, in Reggio Calabria, in the province and Metropolitan Archdiocese of the same name. He earned a degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Messina and a Baccalaureate in Theology from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. He also obtained a Licentiate in Sacred Liturgy and a Doctorate from the Pontifical Atheneum of Saint Anselm in Rome. He was ordained a priest on April 9, 1988. He served as Episcopal Vicar for the Permanent Diaconate and Ministries. Elected Archbishop of Rossano-Cariati on May 6, 2006, he received episcopal consecration on June 21 of that year.
