Bishop of Gaoua
Modeste Kambou was born on December 4, 1963, in Bouti, in the Diocese of Diébougou. He was ordained a priest on December 28, 1991, and incardinated into the Diocese of Diébougou. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1992–1995: Teacher at the Saint Tarcisius Minor Seminary in Kakapèlè; 1995–1999: Studies for a Licentiate in Modern Literature at the State University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso); 1999–2000: Parochial Vicar of Nako Parish; 2000–2001: Teacher at the Saint Tarcisius Minor Seminary in Kakapèlè; 2001–2007: Rector of the Saint Tarcisius Minor Seminary in Kakapèlè. Since 2007, he has served as Vicar General of the Diocese of Diébougou.
