Bishop Francis Dean Alleyne, O.S.B., Bishop of Georgetown, was born on December 3, 1951, in Pointe-à-Pierre, Couva-Tabaquite-Talparo, Trinidad and Tobago. He made his perpetual profession on December 8, 1975. He was ordained a priest for the same institute on July 7, 1985. On October 30, 2003, he was appointed Bishop of Georgetown. He received episcopal ordination on January 30, 2004, with Edward Joseph Gilbert as principal consecrator and Lawrence Aloysius Burke and Benedict Ganesh Singh as co-consecrators. He is a member of Order of Saint Benedict.
