Bishop of Imus
Reynaldo G. Evangelista was born in Mabini, Batangas, in the Archdiocese of Lipa, on May 8, 1960. After completing his elementary and secondary education, he studied philosophy at the St. Francis Xavier Regional Seminary and subsequently theology at the San Alfonso School of Theology. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Lipa on June 19, 1986. He subsequently held the following positions: professor, spiritual director, vice-rector, and later rector of the St. Francis Xavier Minor Seminary (1986–1995); rector of the Regional Seminary College (1995–2000); and parish priest of San Guillermo Parish and director of the San Guillermo Academy (since 2000). Concurrently, he served as spiritual director of the Youth Commission, confessor to the Brothers of the Christian Schools, member of the College of Consultors, confessor to the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, member of the Presbyteral Council, and member of the Commission on the Clergy.
