Bishop of Iztapalapa
Bishop Jorge Cuapio Bautista was born in Santa Ana Chiautempan, on 6 April 1967. He was ordained a priest on 15 August 1992 and incardinated in the diocese of Texcoco. He belongs to the Community of the Missionaries of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. He holds a licentiate in philosophy from the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla and a licentiate in family sciences from the John Paul II Institute in Rome. On 4 March 2015 he was appointed titular bishop of Bisarcio and auxiliary of the metropolitan archdiocese of Tlalnepantla, receiving episcopal ordination the following 27 May.
