Bishop of Kigoma
Joseph Mlola, ALCP/OSS, was born on January 9, 1966, in Mashati Rombo, Moshi. After completing his primary education in Moshi and his secondary education at the Uru Minor Seminary (Moshi), he entered the Apostles of Jesus Major Seminary in Kenya for his philosophy studies. He subsequently completed his theology studies at St. Paul’s Inter-diocesan Major Seminary in Kipalapala, Tabora. Following his priestly ordination on July 12, 1997, for the Apostolic Life Community of Priests in the Opus Spiritus Sancti (ALCP/OSS), he held the following positions: 1997–1999: Parochial Vicar in Nairagie Enkare, Diocese of Ngong, Kenya; 1999–2000: Vice-Rector of Holy Spirit College, Morogoro; 2000–2001: Parochial Vicar in Caliti, Avellino, Italy; 2001–2005: Studies in Rome for a degree in Dogmatic Theology at the Pontifical Urban University; 2005–2011: Vice-Rector of St. Charles Lwanga Inter-diocesan Major Seminary in Segerea, Dar es Salaam; since 2011: Rector of St. Paul’s Inter-diocesan Major Seminary in Kipalapala, Tabora.
