Bishop of Kingstown
Gerard County, C.S.Sp., was born in Trinidad and Tobago, in the Antilles, on December 15, 1960. He attended primary and secondary school in Woodbrook, in the Archdiocese of Port of Spain. He worked in the banking sector, holding significant executive positions. After entering the Spiritan (C.S.Sp.) novitiate in Port of Spain, he made his temporary vows on September 9, 1991. He completed his philosophical and theological studies at the St. John Vianney Regional Seminary in Trinidad and Tobago. He made his perpetual profession on September 9, 1994, and was ordained a priest on January 21, 1996. Following his ordination, he was sent to the Spiritan Province in Mexico, where he held the following roles: 1996–2009: various positions within his Congregation in Mexico, including Treasurer and Director of Youth Ministry; 2002–2009: Parish Priest of San David Roldan Lara in the Diocese of Tampico; 2009–2015: Provincial Superior in Mexico. He is currently a member of the Spiritan community in Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago).
