Bishop James Mark Beckman

Bishop James Mark Beckman, Bishop of Knoxville, Tennessee, USA, was born on 19 October 1962 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, in the Diocese of Nashville. He attended Saint Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa, obtaining a bachelor's degree in history. He completed ecclesiastical studies at the American College in Leuven, Belgium. He was ordained a priest on 13 July 1990 for the Diocese of Nashville. He held the following offices: parochial vicar of Holy Rosary in Nashville in 1990; associate principal of Father Ryan High School in 1991; pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes in Springfield in 1996; director of the Diocesan Youth Office in 1996; pastor of Saint Matthew in Franklin in 2002 and of Saint Henry in Nashville from 2021.
