Bishop of Kumbo
Rev. George Nkuo was born on February 27, 1953, in Njiniikom, in the Boyo Division of the Archdiocese of Bamenda. He pursued his ecclesiastical studies at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Bamenda. He was ordained a priest on April 26, 1981, and incardinated into the Diocese of Buéa. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1981–1983: Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph Parish, Mamfe; 1983–1985: School Administrator (St. Jean Parish, Kumba); 1985–1989: Secretary to the Bishop; 1989–1991: Studies at St. Patrick's College Maynooth (Dublin, Ireland), where he obtained a Licentiate in Education; 1991–1994: Principal of St. Francis College, Fiango-Kumba. Since 1994, he has served as the Diocesan Secretary for Catholic Education.
