Fr. Ottavio Vitale, R.C.J., previously Apostolic Administrator of the same diocese. Fr. Ottavio Vitale, R.C.J., was born in Grottaglie (Taranto) on February 5, 1959. He entered the Congregation of the Rogationist Fathers in 1983. After his novitiate in the Philippines and obtaining a Licentiate in Pastoral Theology from the Pontifical Lateran University (Rome), he was ordained a priest on June 27, 1992. He served as head of the Rogationist minor seminary in Trani (Bari) and, in 1993, was sent to Albania as head and spiritual director of the minor seminary in Shenkoll (Lezhë). In 1998, he was appointed Diocesan Administrator of the Diocese of Lezhë and, on February 5, 2000, Apostolic Administrator of the same ecclesiastical circumscription.
