Nazzareno Marconi was born in Città di Castello (Perugia) on February 12, 1958. After completing his secondary education, he began his priestly formation as a student at the Pontifical Roman Major Seminary. He obtained a Baccalaureate in Philosophy from the Pontifical Lateran University and in Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Città di Castello on July 2, 1983. Subsequently, he earned a Licentiate in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute and a Doctorate in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical Urban University. During his studies, he served for several years as a formator at the Roman Seminary. After serving as an assistant pastor in San Giustino, he was appointed pastor of the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Citerna (Perugia) in September 1988. Within the diocese, he held numerous roles, including Director of the Diocesan Catechetical Office. At the same time, he was selected as a religious and biblical consultant for film and multimedia productions by RAI (Italian Radio and Television). Since 1988, he has taught Old Testament Exegesis at the Theological Institute of Assisi. From 2004 to 2012, he served as Rector of the "Pius XI" Umbrian Regional Seminary. From September 2013 to the present, he has served as pastor of the San Donato parish in Trestina, in the Diocese of Città di Castello. On March 10, 2005, he was awarded the title of Chaplain of His Holiness.
