Bishop of Muyinga
Joachim Ntahondereye was born on May 8, 1953, in Camzai, in the Diocese of Ruyigi. He pursued his studies in his home country, Tanzania, and Italy, earning a degree in Moral Theology from the Alfonsianum. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Ruyigi on November 16, 1980. He has served as a parish vicar, bursar of the diocesan minor seminary, and professor of Moral Theology—first at the "Regina Mundi" institute in Rome and currently at the major seminary in Gitega.
