Archbishop of Nampula
Inácio Saure, I.M.C., was born on March 2, 1960, in Balama, in the Diocese of Pemba, Mozambique. Following the outbreak of the civil war, he entered the Consolata Seminary in Maputo; he attended philosophy courses and the first year of theology at St. Augustine Seminary in Matola (1990–1992), subsequently continuing his theological studies in 1993 at the St. Eugene de Mazenod Higher Institute of Theology in Kinshasa (DR Congo), where he obtained a Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology in 1998. He made his first religious profession in the Consolata Missionaries (I.M.C.) on January 7, 1995, and his perpetual profession on May 15, 1998. He was ordained a priest on December 8, 1998. After his priestly ordination, he held the following positions: 1999–2001: Parochial Vicar of St. Makusa Lukunga Parish in Kinshasa; 2002–2005: Parish Priest of Mater Dei Parish and Community Superior in Mont-Ngafula (Diocese of Kisantu), as well as Director of the Computer School and Vice Regional Superior; 2006: Assigned to Mozambique to work in the field of formation; 2006–2007: Attended an Italian language course in Rome, followed immediately by a course for Novice Masters at the Mater Christi Institute in Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina Faso); from 2008: Rector of the Consolata Missionaries' Intermediate and Philosophical Seminary in Matola; from December of the same year, Novice Master at the Consolata International Novitiate in Maputo.
