Bishop Michael Ekwoy Apochi

Michael Ekwoy Apochi is Bishop of Otukpo, Nigeria. Michael Apochi was born in August 1960 in Ichama District, Diocese of Otukpo, into a Catholic family. He studied in his homeland and, at the time of the source biography, in the United States. He was ordained a priest on 19 July 1986 for the Diocese of Makurdi, but since 1995 has been incardinated in the Diocese of Otukpo. He served as assistant parish priest, parish priest, and director of vocational ministry; professor and bursar of the Major Seminary of Makurdi; interim rector and rector of the Major Seminary of Jos. At the time of the source biography he was completing his studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington.
