Guido Zendron was born in Lisignago, in the Archdiocese of Trento (Italy), on March 7, 1954. At the age of 11, he entered the Archdiocesan Seminary of Trento, where he completed his primary, secondary, philosophical, and theological studies. He was ordained a priest on June 26, 1978, and incardinated into the clergy of Trento. In this diocese, he served as an assistant pastor in Pergine and as a parish priest in Vigolo Vattaro. He arrived in Brazil in 1994, settling in the Archdiocese of São Salvador da Bahia. In that diocese, he held the following roles: parish priest of "Santo André" Parish; parish administrator of "Cristo Redentor" Parish; advisor to the administration of "Colégio Social da Bahia (ISBA)"; Vicar Forane and coordinator of the Santana Rio Vermelho deanery; head of Catholic schools; coordinator for secondary school students within the Communion and Liberation movement in Brazil; member of the State Commission for Religious Education; and coordinator of archdiocesan catechesis.
