Bishop of Imaculada Conceição in Prudentópolis (Ukrainian)
Meron Mazur was born on February 5, 1962, in Prudentópolis, Paraná. He completed his initial studies at the São José Seminary in Prudentópolis, before moving to Curitiba, Paraná, for his advanced studies at the Saint Basil Major Seminary (Studium OSBM). He studied theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum of Saint Anselm in Rome from 1986 to 1989, earning a Baccalaureate and a Doctorate in Educational Sciences. A member of the Basilian Order of Saint Josaphat, he made his perpetual profession on January 1, 1988, in Rome. He was ordained a priest on September 8, 1990, in Prudentópolis. Following his ordination, he held various pastoral roles: parochial vicar, professor at the Studium OSBM, superior of the Saint Basil Major Seminary, and rector of the Studium OSBM. He currently exercises his priestly ministry as a parochial vicar at the "Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora" parish in Curitiba.
