Bishop of Qacha's Nek
Joseph Mopeli Sephamola, O.M.I., was born on March 14, 1960, in the St. Francis Mission parish at Tsoelike Ha Atlali, in the Diocese of Qacha’s Nek. In 1983, he was admitted to the novitiate of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate; he made his first religious profession on January 6, 1984, and his solemn profession in 1989. After completing his studies in philosophy and theology (1984–1990), he was ordained a priest on April 27, 1991. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1991–2000: missionary in Zambia; 2001–2003: sent to the O.M.I. Scholasticate in Rome; 2004–2008: Novice Master at Villa Maria, Quthing, Qacha’s Nek; 2009–2011: sent to South Africa for studies in spirituality. Since July 2011, he has served as Provincial of the Oblate Fathers in Lesotho.
