Ángel José Macín was born on March 18, 1967, in Malabrigo, Santa Fe province. He pursued his studies at the *La Encarnación* Interdiocesan Seminary in Resistencia and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Reconquista on July 9, 1992. Between 1992 and 1993, he served at the *Inmaculada Concepción* Parish in Villa Devoto, Buenos Aires, while obtaining a Licentiate in Theology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. He was a member of the Argentine Theological Society, a professor of Religious Studies at the San Benito Institute in Victoria (Entre Ríos), and a full professor and Director of Studies at the *La Encarnación* Interdiocesan Seminary in Resistencia (Chaco). Also within the Diocese of Reconquista, he served as Parochial Vicar of Santa Ana in Florencia (1994–2003), formator at the House of Priestly Formation (1995–2006), Professor of New Testament at the San Nicolás Diocesan Seminary in Buenos Aires (1996–2001), Parish Administrator of *Sagrado Corazón* in Villa Ana, Santa Fe (2003–2004), Parochial Vicar of *Inmaculada Concepción* in Villa Ocampo (2005–2006), and Parish Priest of *Nuestra Señora del Huerto* in Malabrigo, Santa Fe (2007–2009). In 2012, he obtained a degree in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (*Angelicum*) in Rome. Upon his return to his home country, he was appointed Parish Priest of *Nuestra Señora de la Merced* in Avellaneda, Santa Fe. He was also a member of the Presbyteral Council, the diocesan team for the Permanent Diaconate, and the *Asociación de Biblistas Argentinos* (Association of Argentine Biblical Scholars); he served as an advisor for Social Pastoral Care and as a Professor of Sacred Scripture at the Juan Pablo II Institute in Reconquista.
