Archbishop Donald Joseph Bolen

Donald Joseph Bolen is Archbishop of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Donald Bolen was born in Gravelbourg, then an episcopal see and now in the Archdiocese of Regina, on 7 February 1961. After formation at Saint Paul Seminary in Ottawa, he was ordained a priest on 12 October 1991 for the Archdiocese of Regina. He then pursued further theological studies at Saint Paul University in Ottawa from 1993 to 1994 and at the University of Oxford from 1994 to 1997. After priestly ordination he held the following offices: parochial vicar in the parish of Estevan from 1991 to 1993; teacher of theology at Campion College of the University of Saskatchewan from 1997 to 1999; parish priest of Saint Jean Baptiste Parish in Regina from 1997 to 1998; parish priest of the parishes of Milestone and Lang from 1998 to 1999; and official of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity from 2000 to 2007. From 2007 to the date of the source, he was vicar general of the Archdiocese of Regina.
