Bishop of Ruhengeri
Vincent Harolimana was born on September 2, 1962, in Mpembe, in the parish of Mubuga, within the Diocese of Nyundo. After completing his primary and secondary education at the *Petit Séminaire St. Pie X* in Nyundo, he entered the preparatory seminary in Rutongo (1983–1984) and subsequently the *Grand Séminaire St. Charles* in Nyakibanda (Diocese of Butare) for philosophical and theological studies (1984–1990), where he obtained a Baccalaureate in Theology. On September 8, 1990, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Nyundo by Blessed John Paul II during the Pope's Apostolic Journey to Mbare, in the Diocese of Kabgayi. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1990–1993: Parochial Vicar in Gisenyi; 1993–1999: Studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he earned a Doctorate in Dogmatic Theology while residing with the Community of the Sons of Saint Mary Immaculate; from 2000: Rector of the *Petit Séminaire St. Pie X* in the Diocese of Nyundo; from 2004: Visiting Professor of Dogmatic Theology at the *Grand Séminaire St. Charles* in Nyakibanda and at the *Institut d’Enseignement Supérieur* (INES) in Ruhengeri. He is also a member of the College of Consultors and of the diocesan commissions for Economic Affairs, Vocations Ministry, Liturgy, and Sacred Music. He serves as Chaplain to the *Fraternité Notre-Dame de la Résurrection* (consecrated widows) and the Sisters of Saint Vincent de Paul in Nyundo.
