Bishop of Salina
Gerald L. Vincke was born on July 9, 1964, in Saginaw, Michigan. He earned a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Ferris State College in Big Rapids (1985–1986). He pursued his ecclesiastical studies at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills and the Athenaeum Seminary in Cincinnati. In 2015, he obtained a Licentiate in Spirituality from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Lansing on June 12, 1999. Following his ordination, he served as Parochial Vicar at Saint Thomas the Apostle Parish in Ann Arbor (1999–2001), Director of the Bethany House Youth Retreat Center in Lansing (2001–2004), Diocesan Director of Vocations and Seminarians (2003–2010), Diocesan Director of Formation for priests, seminarians, and the laity (2006–2010), Spiritual Director at the Pontifical North American College in Rome (2010–2015), and as a member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors. In 2012, he was named a Chaplain to His Holiness, and in 2016, a Missionary of Mercy. Since 2015, he has served as Pastor of Holy Family Parish in Grand Blanc.
