Diocese of São Mateus

Dom Paulo Bosi Dal’Bó is a native of Rio Bananal (ES), born on August 27, 1962. He is the son of Dionísio Dal’Bó and Iolanda Claris Bosi Dal’Bó. He holds a degree in Accounting, with specializations in Educational Psychology and Developmental Psychology. He studied Philosophy and Theology at the Institute of Philosophy and Theology of the Archdiocese of Vitória (IFTAV). He also holds a postgraduate degree in Social Communication from SEPAC (SP). He was ordained a priest on June 10, 2000, at the Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima parish. Throughout his priestly journey, he has undertaken various roles. He served as a formator for the propaedeutic year, a parochial vicar in Marilândia, and rector of the "Mary, Mother of the Church" Diocesan Seminary (2006–2010), as well as the diocesan coordinator for the Pastoral Care and Service for Vocational Animation (2004–2010). He served as a representative of the presbyters and was a member of the Presbyteral Pastoral Council and the College of Consultors. In July 2015, he was elected Vicar General of the diocese. From 2003 to 2008, he served on the board of the Organization of Seminaries and Institutes of Brazil (OSIB) for the East II region and on the organization's national board. From 2008 to 2010, he was the national president of OSIB, participating as a member of the Episcopal Council and the Permanent Council of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB). Notable among his published works is the book *Estar de bem com a vida* ("Being at Peace with Life") and various audio productions, including three CDs—*Cantando com o jovem* ("Singing with the Youth"), *Meu Profeta* ("My Prophet"), and *Vida, Sonhos e Canções* ("Life, Dreams, and Songs")—along with other compositions. He was appointed Bishop of the Diocese of São Mateus on October 21, 2015, by Pope Francis. His episcopal ordination took place on December 12, 2015, in the city of Aracruz (ES), and he took office as the fourth Bishop of the Diocese of São Mateus on December 26, 2015, in a ceremony attended by a large crowd at the diocesan cathedral.
