Abbot of Subiaco
Bishop Mauro Meacci, O.S.B., Abbot of Subiaco, was born on November 4, 1955, in Pisa, Province of Pisa, Italy, in the Archdiocese of Pisa. He made his first profession on December 28, 1981, and made his perpetual profession on January 1, 1985. He was ordained a deacon on July 11, 1987. He was ordained a priest for the same institute on June 11, 1988. On December 21, 1995, he was appointed Abbot of Subiaco. On February 10, 1996, he was appointed Abbot of Subiaco. He is a member of Order of Saint Benedict.
