Bishop Sean Buslig Mejía

Bishop Sean Buslig Mejía, Vicar Apostolic of Tabuk, was born on March 3, 1972, at Bulanao, Tabuk City, in Kalinga, in the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk. He studied philosophy at San Pablo Seminary in Baguio City and theology at the Immaculate Conception School of Theology in Vigan City, and he obtained a licentiate in canon law at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome. He was ordained a priest for the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk on October 19, 1999. He served as parish vicar of the Flora Catholic Mission at Flora, in Apayao, from 1999 to 2000, as head of the Lubuagan Catholic Mission at Lubuagan, in Kalinga, from 2000 to 2001, as a formator at the Immaculate Conception School of Theology in Vigan City from 2001 to 2002 and at San Pablo College Seminary in Vigan City in 2003, and as chancellor of the vicariate from 2007 to 2008. He was parish priest of St. William's Cathedral at Tabuk City from 2008 to 2011, chairman of the education commission from 2011 to 2013, superintendent of the Catholic schools of Tabuk from 2014 to 2016, parish priest of the Flora Catholic Mission from 2017 to 2021, and parish priest of the Tuga Catholic Mission at Tabuk City from 2021 to 2024, and from March 31, 2025, he was pro-vicar of the apostolic vicariate. On March 3, 2026, he was appointed Vicar Apostolic of Tabuk, and he received episcopal ordination on June 2, 2026, with Charles John Brown as principal consecrator.
