Bishop of Tacámbaro
Bishop Juan Carlos Arcq Guzmán was born on 17 October 1966 in Monterrey. He was ordained a priest on 15 August 1997 and was incardinated in the metropolitan archdiocese of Monterrey. He held the following offices: chaplain of the Rectory of San Maximiliano Kolbe and of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Angels; missionary in the diocese of San Cristóbal de Las Casas; director of the Pastoral Centre for Missionary Formation and of the Missions Department; ecclesial assessor of the Raza Nueva en Cristo Movement; parish priest of San Miguel Arcángel in Juárez; prefect of the Institute of Theology of the Archdiocesan Seminary; member of the College of Consultors; and, from 2015, rector of the archdiocesan seminary of Monterrey. On 17 October 2020 he was appointed titular bishop of Milevi and auxiliary bishop of Monterrey, receiving episcopal ordination the following 17 December.
