Archbishop Thomas Chung An-zu

Thomas Chung An-zu is Archbishop of Taipei, Taiwan. He was born on the seventh of August 1952 in Lunbei Township, Yunlin County. He was ordained priest on 26 December 1981 and became a priest of the Diocese of Tainan. On the thirty-first of October two thousand six, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Taipei. On the twenty-fourth of January two thousand eight, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him bishop of the Diocese of Chiayi. On the first of March two thousand eight, he took office at Yunlin Zhengxin High School. On the twenty-third of May 2020, Pope Francis appointed him archbishop of the Archdiocese of Taipei.
