Bishop of Talibon
Daniel Patrick Y. Parcon was born in Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental, in the Diocese of San Carlos, on November 24, 1962. He completed his philosophical studies at St. Joseph College Seminary in Dumaguete City and his theological studies at St. Joseph Regional Seminary in Jaro, Iloilo City. Subsequently, he earned a Master of Arts in Educational Management from Colegio de Santa Rita in San Carlos City and, in 2007, a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Fordham University in the Bronx, New York City (USA). He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of San Carlos on April 29, 1994, at St. Joseph Parish in Canlaon City, Negros Oriental. From 1994 to 2000, he served as Spiritual Director and Dean of Studies at St. John Mary Philosophy Seminary in San Carlos City. After moving to the United States for further studies, he served as Parish Administrator at Ascension Church in Hurricane, West Virginia (2001); Parish Administrator at Immaculate Conception Church in Liberty, Texas (2002–2004); and finally as Parochial Vicar at Blessed Sacrament Church in Valley Stream, New York (2004–2007). Upon returning to his home country, he became Rector of St. John Mary Philosophy Seminary in San Carlos City in 2007 and took charge of the Marriage and Family Life Apostolate for the Diocese of San Carlos. During the recent *sede vacante* (vacancy of the episcopal see) of that local church (2011–2013), he served as Diocesan Administrator.
