Bishop Crispin Ojeda Márquez, Bishop of Tehuantepec, was born on March 19, 1952, in Tecomán, in the Diocese of Colima. He was ordained a priest for Colima on December 27, 1979, and obtained a licentiate in philosophy from the Gregorian University in Rome. After ordination he served as professor at the diocesan seminary, episcopal delegate for institutes of consecrated life, and rector of the major seminary of Colima. He also served as parish priest of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Colima and coordinator of the central pastoral zone. On June 4, 2011, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Dumium and Auxiliary Bishop of México. He received episcopal ordination on July 28, 2011, with Norberto Rivera Carrera as principal consecrator and Christophe Louis Yves Georges Pierre and José Luis Amezcua Melgoza as co-consecrators. On July 27, 2018, he was appointed Bishop of Tehuantepec.
