Bishop of Tepic
Bishop Polino Sánchez was born on 14 March 1966 in Teuchitlán, State of Jalisco, in the metropolitan archdiocese of Guadalajara. He attended courses in social pastoral care in Santa Fé, Colombia, and carried out his studies at the IMDOSOC in Mexico City. He was ordained a priest on 1 June 1997, and incardinated in the metropolitan archdiocese of Guadalajara. He has held the following offices: parish vicar, parish priest, substitute dean and social pastoral coordinator. On 2 February 2018 he was appointed titular bishop of Vazari Didda and auxiliary of the metropolitan archdiocese of Guadalajara, receiving episcopal ordination the following 21 April. Within the Mexican Episcopal Conference, he is chair of the Social Pastoral Commission. Rev. Engelberto Polino Sánchez was born in Teuchitlán, State of Jalisco, on 14 March 1966.
