Archdiocese of Thare and Nonseng

Anthony Weradet Chaiseri was born on June 26, 1963, in Tharé, in the Archdiocese of Thare and Nonseng. He attended the diocesan minor seminary in Tharé. He pursued philosophical and theological studies at the Lux Mundi National Major Seminary in Sampran, obtaining a baccalaureate in both disciplines. Prior to his priestly ordination, he completed a spiritual formation course at the Focolare Center (Priests’ School for Asia) in Tagaytay, Philippines (1991–1992). He is a member of the Focolare Movement. He was ordained a priest on March 21, 1992, and incardinated into the Archdiocese of Thare and Nonseng. He subsequently held the following positions: 1992–1993: Parochial Vicar of St. Anne, Nonseng, and person in charge of the communities of the faithful in Baan Phaeb and Srisongkhram; 1993–1995: Parish Priest of St. Joseph, Nakhonphanom, and head of the youth missionary office; 1995–1997: Licentiate studies in Biblical Theology at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome, along with a short training course for seminary formators at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome; 1997–1998: Formator at the Fatima Minor Seminary in Tharé; 1998–2008: Rector of the Fatima Minor Seminary in Tharé; 2003–2008: Spiritual Director at the G.M. Vianney Major Seminary in Thakaek, Laos, where he also taught Sacred Scripture; 2008–2013: Vicar General and Parish Priest of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sakhonnakhon; 2013–2018: Vicar General and Parish Priest of St. Michael the Archangel Cathedral, Tharé; since 2018: Vicar General and Parish Priest of the Mother of Martyrs Shrine, Songkhon.
