Bishop of Tianguá
Francisco Edimilson Neves Ferreira was born on October 3, 1969, in Jardim, in the Diocese of Crato, State of Ceará. He completed his primary education at the *Escola de 1° Grau Dr. Romão Sampaio* in Jardim and his middle school studies at the *Centro Educacional Padre Aldemir*, also in Jardim. He pursued his studies in philosophy and theology at the *Seminário Regional Nordeste 1* in Fortaleza. He was ordained a priest on December 12, 1997. During his priestly ministry, he has held the following positions: Parish Priest of the *Sagrado Coração de Jesus* parish in Crato (1999–2003); Diocesan Pastoral Coordinator (2000–2014); Deputy Director of the *Colégio Pequeno Príncipe* (since 1998); and Parish Priest of the *Nossa Senhora da Penha* Cathedral (since 2003); he is also a member of the College of Consultors and the Presbyteral Council. Currently, he serves as Parish Priest of the Cathedral, Executive Director of the *Fundação Padre Ibiapina*, and Spiritual Director of the *São José* Diocesan Seminary.
