Bishop Paul Abel Mamba Diatta

Paul Abel Mamba was born on December 5, 1960, in Cabrousse, Casamance, in the Diocese of Ziguinchor. He studied at the Saint Louis Minor Seminary in Ziguinchor and subsequently at the Notre Dame Intermediate Seminary in Ziguinchor. He later moved to the Libermann National Major Seminary in Sebikhotane, Dakar. He was ordained a priest on April 8, 1988. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1988–1991: Bursar of the Notre Dame Minor Seminary in Ziguinchor; 1991–2006: *Fidei donum* priest in the Diocese of Tambacounda (Senegal); 1991–1993: Director of the Minor Seminary in Tambacounda; 1993–1995: Studies in management, accounting, and computer science at the Catholic Institute of Yaoundé (Cameroon); 1995–2004: Bursar of the Diocese of Tambacounda; 2004–2006: Bursar of the Diocesan Caritas in Tambacounda; 2006–2007: Sabbatical year at the Centre Sèvres in Paris; 2007–2009: Parochial Vicar of the Martyrs of Uganda Parish. Since 2010, he has served as Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Ziguinchor.
